Technical requirements for welding of reaction kettle
Oct 31, 2020

The crack tendency of the reactor varies with the welding of the reactor. Mainly because of the second different welding, the resulting welding stress is not the same. Therefore, should choose the reasonable second welding, as far as possible to reduce the welding stress. But in the reaction kettle welding, the need for preheating treatment, generally should pay attention to the corresponding matters.

On the one hand, preheating can reduce the cooling rate and reduce the tensile stress during the cooling process; on the other hand, it can improve the crystallization conditions and reduce the chemical and physical inhomogeneity. The preheating temperature depends on the chemical composition of the steel and the stiffness of the layout. Reaction kettle manufacturers pointed out that the higher the carbon content of steel, the more other alloy elements, the greater the working rigidity, the higher the preheating temperature is required.

Reactor manufacturers recommend that certain welding standards be followed. If the conditions such as high current, rapid welding, single-layer welding and straight line travel are selected, welding stress will be caused and thermal cracks will occur in the reactor. Therefore, in strict accordance with the standard operation, as far as possible to choose small current, multilayer welding, in order to reduce the tendency of thermal cracks.

Welding layout stiffness of the larger workpiece, often choose the method of preheating. On the one hand, preheating can reduce the cooling rate and reduce the tensile stress during the cooling process; on the other hand, it can improve the crystallization conditions and reduce the chemical and physical inhomogeneity. The preheating temperature depends on the chemical composition of the steel and the size of the stiffness of the layout. The higher the carbon content of steel, the more other alloy elements and the greater the working rigidity, the higher the preheating temperature is required.
