Principle of calcification reaction in the reactor

Calcium reactors release carbon dioxide in their reactors to dissolve calcium source material. The result is a calcium supplement to help your tanks, corrals and other aquarium livestock thrive. However, using a calcium reactor can be a dangerous activity if not done well. Carbon dioxide is colorless and odorless, so it can be dangerous if no fresh oxygen is released into the air in a confined space. Therefore, when dealing with carbon dioxide containers, keep a window open nearby, keep a distance from the radiator and other heat sources, and use all safety precautions when handling containers.

Once you are satisfied that your reactor has restored the calcium ion level in the tank, you do so. Check your alkalinity levels every few weeks to make sure more calcium supplements are necessary.
