904L and SUS890L stainless steels are often used as the material of the spiral plate heat exchanger. They have good corrosion resistance and are especially suitable for general acids and halides such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. Due to the high content of Cr, Ni and Mo, it has good resistance to stress corrosion, pitting and crevice corrosion.


Secondly, the ultra-low carbon high-grade stainless steel modified by the Mo content to improve the 316 type is also one of the choices of the spiral plate heat exchanger sheet material. This material has excellent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion and is suitable for Do not use 316 type of medium containing salt water or inorganic acid.


In addition, titanium is also a material for the manufacture of spiral plate heat exchanger plates, which has better corrosion resistance than stainless steel and is a typical material suitable for chlorine-containing media. In addition, spiral plates for making spiral plate heat exchangers sometimes use different materials such as titanium-palladium alloy, Hastelloy C-276, Monel 400, and Incoloy 825.
