Logarithmic mean value and final temperature difference of shell and tube heat exchanger

In shell and tube heat exchangers, two kinds of fluids flow in the shell and tube respectively. These two kinds of fluids usually cross flow and have small logarithmic mean temperature difference correction coefficient, while plate heat exchangers are mostly parallel flow or countercurrent flow. The correction coefficient of shell and tube heat exchangers is usually about 0.95. In addition, the cooling flow in the shell and tube heat exchanger is,, parallel to the heat exchange surface, and there is no bypass, so that the temperature difference at the end of the shell and tube heat exchanger becomes smaller, the heat exchange of water can be lower than 1°C, and the heat exchange of the shell and tube heat exchanger is usually 5°C.
