Hydraulic test procedure and specific requirements for spiral plate heat exchanger

The spiral plate heat exchanger is hydraulically tested with water as the medium. The water used should be clean and the water temperature should not be lower than 5 °C. After the austenitic stainless steel spiral plate heat exchanger is hydraulically tested with water, the water stain should be removed immediately. If this requirement is not met, the chloride ion content in the water should not be controlled to exceed 25 mg/L.

 

For the hydraulic test of spiral plate heat exchanger, two pressure gauges with the same range and calibration should be used. The pressure gauge should not be less than 1.5 times and more than 3 times the test pressure. The pressure gauge should be installed in the tested spiral plate type. The top of the heater is convenient for viewing the position.

 

The spiral plate heat exchanger shall be provided with an exhaust port. The spiral plate heat exchanger shall be filled with liquid during the test, and the gas retained in the spiral plate heat exchanger shall be drained. The outer surface of the spiral plate heat exchanger should be kept dry. When the wall temperature of the spiral plate heat exchanger is close to the liquid temperature, it can be slowly boosted to the design pressure. After confirming that there is no leakage, continue to increase to the specified test pressure and keep pressure for 30 minutes.

 

Then, 80% of the test pressure is kept for a sufficient time for inspection. The pressure should be kept constant during the inspection. Continuous pressure should not be used to maintain the test pressure. Do not press the fastening bolts. After the hydraulic test of the spiral plate heat exchanger, the liquid should be drained clean and, if necessary, compressed air should be used to dry the inside.www.wxlsshzb.com
