Flow rate and flow path selection of heat exchanger

The process refers to a set of parallel flow channels in the same flow direction of the heat exchanger intermediates, and the flow path refers to the medium flow channels formed by two adjacent plates in the heat exchanger. In general, several flow paths of heat exchangers are connected in parallel or in series to form different combinations of cold and hot media channels.


The process combination should be calculated according to heat transfer and fluid resistance of heat exchanger, and it should be determined to meet the process conditions. In order to obtain the best heat transfer effect, the convective heat transfer coefficients in the cold and hot water passages should be equal or close to each other. The heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchanger is larger because the convective heat transfer coefficient on both sides of the heat transfer surface is equal or close. Although the flow rates between the plates of the heat exchanger are not equal, the calculation is based on the average flow rates in the heat transfer and fluid resistance calculations. As the "U" shape single-flow nozzle is fixed on the pressing plate, it is easy to disassemble and assemble.
