Classification of materials used in heat exchangers

(1) metal material heat exchanger: metal material heat exchanger is made of metal materials, common metal materials are carbon steel, alloy steel, copper and copper alloy, aluminum and aluminum alloy, titanium and titanium alloy, etc. Because the thermal conductivity of metal material is larger, the heat transfer efficiency of this kind of heat exchanger is higher.

 

(2) non-metallic material heat exchanger: the heat exchanger of non-metallic material is made of non-metallic material, and the commonly used non-gold scrap materials are graphite, glass, plastic and ceramics. This type of heat exchanger is mainly used for corrosive materials. The heat transfer efficiency of non-metallic materials is low because of their low thermal conductivity
